Mercalist
A grocery list for Colombia that writes itself.
Context
Lists get typed in the middle of the aisle, and budgets get found out at the till.
Idea
Point the camera at a product and the AI fills in name, brand, size and the shelf price. A finished shop moves into the pantry; when something runs out, one tap puts it back on the list.
Craft
- A budget that suggests what to put back, unplanned items first, never what you are running out of.
- Pesos, pounds and grams living together, and Colombian brands.
- Recipes kept as index cards, with ingredients written by hand on ruled lines.
Outcome
On sale in Spanish since August 2026. No sign-up and no ads; it syncs through your own iCloud.
